Before establishing Sim Ateliers, he was with CS Design Consultancy for 9 years practicing under a Harvard-educated and internationally renowned architect. His training equipped him to create his architectural language which is unique to the local setting. He became the company’s Associate Director for 5 years, first in the company’s history.
He also worked and immersed his architectural experience in Singapore for 4 years under RGSA as Associate Architect. He was working on designing and managing house projects in good class bungalow areas and Sentosa Cove of Singapore. While under RGSA, he designed the Indian Heritage Centre, Singapore’s first museum built from scratch, with the principal architect and submitted it as an entry to the Singapore-wide design competition. The company won and was commissioned the project.

Before joining the practice, she worked under PRSP as project architect for 8 years. She is well versed in maximizing spaces and the potential capability of a given lot. Joy is very meticulous in detail. She is well experienced in handling vertical projects.
She gained international experience, when she moved on to the next chapter of her architectural practice accepting a Senior Architect position in Minkke Architects in Singapore. Joy was tasked to manage projects internationally from a wide variety of exposure in hotels, boutique spaces and houses not only in Southeast Asia, but also in India and China. Her exposure to the different aspects of architecture gave her an advantage in managing Sim Ateliers.
