Makati City 300 SQM
Renovation, is not only fulfilling but also challenging, it gathers your wits out of your head. A 70’s house, the client commissioned us to give it a fresh new look. Prior to excite our fingers with new ideas, a careful analysis of what can be salvaged is our top priority. Architectural elements inside the existing house is a subdivide, everything everywhere.
Our execution calls for a fresh and clean language for the project, the existing rafters were translated to be vertical elements, housing utility drains from the roof to the catch basins. We have thrown a field of wooden fascia to soften the look of the house, added texture and color to the front façade and is coherent with the interiors.
Straighten the openings and widen some spaces is what we were trying to achieve. We have opened the kitchen to have a thru and thru vista and ventilation from the dining to this space. Bigger window openings gives more value and allows natural light to flood the project. Adding a foyer before the living room, gives this a more dramatic and cozy ambiance.
The main spaces usher an exciting view of the garden giving it a more relaxed ambiance as the user experience the spaces. Hidden gems are discovered as we walk thru this during the construction stage with the client, we can’t wait to see how much potential this has.
